Learning outcomes You have a clear view of the useful wireless technologies used today and to be deployed in the near future. You understand their core properties as well as their strengths and limitations. You have some kind of vision of what the future of wireless networking will be and what are the challenges and opportunities it is facing.
Content This seminar will provide advanced knowledge about the next generation of wireless networks (UMTS, WLAN, Bluetooth etc.) The course will cover network architectures, basics of the radio technologies, core network, services and security issues.
Prerequisites T-110.2100 or equivalent skills and a seminar like T-110.5190 or T-110.5290.
Substitutes for courses
Target audience Graduate students and advanced under-graduate students
Assessment methods Poster presentation with a four page abstract. Students must attend each poster session/lecture.
