Content Security from the user's point of view. The role of usability in secure information system development. Special characteristics of usable security. Examples of usability issues and solutions in the design of secure systems. Latest research in the area.

Course consists of lectures (voluntary), writing an essay (50%) and an open-book final exam (50%).

T-110.5220 in Spring 2011 periods III-IV

 

This course will start January 18, 2011 2-4 pm at T2, T-building, Konemiehentie 2.

There will be weekly lectures (with some exceptions, see schedule), an essay, and a final open-book exam. The lectures are voluntary. The course will be running through periods III and IV and end on May 3, 2011.

 

Course grade is formed 50% of an individual essay (DL 30.4.2011) and 50% of final exam 13.5.2011 based on lectures and the articles in the Additional reading section. Both are graded with 1-5.
