Getting started and using Optima

Note! The user accounts for Optima are created when the students have been chosen for the course. We announce in the course newsgroup opinnot.tik.netsec when this is done.

Getting started with Optima

Your Optima username is same as your username in TKK's Computing Center machines and the password is your service password. If you do not have CC user account, you have to apply the account (and set the service password).

Getting Optima to use English

The start page of Optima is in Finnish by default. You can change the language of Optima to English with following instructions:

1. Open Optima and log in.
2. Click link "Asetukset" ("Inställningar" / "Settings") on the rightmost column, the second link on the top.
3. Choose (English) language from the first menu on the middle column and click OK button on that column and refresh your browser window (too).
4. Choose "Tietotekniikan osasto (T)" from the leftomost column Workspaces and then choose T-110.5290 Folder on that column.
